Kanawa Island

Holaa this time i’ll tell you about my journey in East Nusa Tenggara, the province that located in East Indonesia. Trip to East Nusa Tenggara is really exhausted. I live in Medan should transit in Jakarta first. Medan-Jakarta it takes about 2 hours by plane. My flight is Batik Air, at 8.00 p.m. Arrived in Soekarno-Hatta (CGK), directly sit in the waiting room, cuz flight to Kupang at 3.00 a.m.

Can you imagine guys, the waiting room is so cool, becuz full of AC and for the first time i flight in early morning and i cant sleep. So, i buy pop mie in Circle K yumyum. Jakarta-Kupang (El Tari International Airport) takes 2 hours and 45 minutes. Arrived in Kupang at 6.00 a.m.

I just can take a rest for a while, cuz have to go again at 10.00 a.m to Maumere (Fransiskus Xaverius Seda Airport) by Nam Air, it takes 30 minutes. In Maumere, there is Kelimutu Lake, the famous place in the world. Arrived in Maumere, first we take a lunch to fulfill our hungry tummy. After that we cuz to Kajuwulu. In Kajuwulu there is a hill, in the peak of hill there is a cross, it covered by white ceramics. I think this cross is a sign. So tired to climb this hill, but the good news is the hills is cover by stairs, so we climb the stairs not the hill.

Koka Beach

After that, we went to Koka beach in Sikka, because the distance is so far and the road is twisting so we arrived in Koka beach almost magrib time so the enchantment of the beach not very good. How poor me.. From Koka beach i immediately went to hotel that near the Kelimutu lake. I intentional took hotel near the Kelimutu lake because i want to see a sunrise in Kelimutu. Kelimutu lake has 3 colours that located in the peak of Kelimutu mountain. The colours can change every year.

At 5.30 a.m we cuss to Kelimutu lake. But so sad because its raining, so we can’t see the sunrise. We wait until the rain stop, but it isnt stop and there are fog bcuz too cold and cuz the Aussie wind too. We wait until two hours but the rain isnt stop yet, so i and my brother keep going to the lake enventhough its rain and cold. So struggle went to this lake, we hiking just 10 minutes usually people took 30 minutes to get to the top. Yeahh so we are rock!

Kelimutu Lake

From Kelimutu lake we immediately to Ende city. You know guys, our first president Ir. Soekarno ever live in Ende city and here he got inspiration of our country symbol that is Pancasila. There is Sukun tree in Bung Karno park, this tree is silent witness and bcuz the stem are five so our moral principal is five.

Ende (Soa Airport)-Labuan Bajo (Komodo Airport) it takes an hour. My opinion is Labuan Bajo airport its like Kualanamo, but in small size. Arrived in Labuan Bajo cus to Batu Cermin cave. The tourguide told that this cave is nitially seabed and now the sea is recede. 

From Batu Cermin cave we went to Cinta hill, look for seaview and hill in Laboan Bajo. So awesome! And then went to Sylvia beach but actually the real name of the beach isnt Sylvia beach, i forgot the real name hehe. The name Sylvia is from the hotel near the beach.

At night we dinner in night market that sell fish and still fresh from the oven, and then we have to choose what fish we want. In Laboan Bajo i stayed in La Prima Hotel. Rate for this hotel is 7/10 because my room direct to Laboan Bajo harbor.

In the next day on the morning at 7.00 a.m we already arrived in Laboan Bajo harbor, cuz we went to Komodo island that takes about an hour by speed boat. If we went there by fisherman ship it takes about 3 hours. In Komodo Island there are a lot of tour guide that ready to help us discover this beautiful Island. The tour guide has a magic stick, it use, if the komodo get naughty. The tour guide will give us an option for the track, there are long track, medium and short. I choose the short track, and tadaaaa so fast that we met the Komodo. Actually, Komodo is a calm animal if they hunt their prey they just camouflaged in the ground bcuz their colour same as land. They can live until 60 years old, yeahh like human right..

A little bit story ya guys, early Komodo was from Australia. But when Australia and Indonesia still in one island. And when they separate, Komodo was imprisoned in five island, there are Komodo, Rinca, Padar, Kelor and Gili Motang.

In Komodo Island isnt just Komodo but there are deer, wild boar etcetera. The taboo when you were here is for woman dont go when you on period. Because Komodo very sensitive on blood and carcass. They can smell in a long distance even on 9 km. Woww!

After we enjoyed in Komodo Island, we went to pink beach. There are just 7 pink beach in the world, which one is in East Nusa Tenggara. 

So amazing! I welcomed by the tosca sea water and it mixed with the red coral so its make the pink sand. You know, so many foreigner and they wear bikini too because so quiet here. After took a photo we cuss to Kanawa Island fo snorkeling. You know the beach here is so pretty, so many starfish spread everywhere. I really enjoyed snorkeling here..

In the next day, we prepared to Banjawa. Banjawa city is a city that located in a mountain range, different with Laboan Bajo in coastel area. In Banjawa i just can go to Bena village and Mengeruda hot swimming pool.

In Bena village we can see houses relic on Megalithikum period. And also we can see a lot of activity there like saw mama (nickname for old women there) weave a songket, children played a ball and traditional toys.

In Mengeruda hot swimming pool the water is clear and didnt smell sulphur. Cuz usually hot swimming pool the sulphur is really stung

In Kupang i went to four places there are Lasiana beach, Monkey cave, Crystal cave and Kolbano beach.

Lasiana beach, according to me this beach is like in Miami if you ever played GTA, you should know how the view is. The beach is so unique and has a lot of palm tree. The tree is like coconut tree, but the stem is straight to top. In here we can enjoyed the view, drinking a coconut and many more. There a lot of kiosk that sell food, drink, coconut etcetera. 

Monkey cave, from the name its really really a monkey cave. Around the tour place are so many monkeys, and they didnt unwilling to climb our car to get a food. But the monkeys are nice, they just want food not else.

Crystal cave, this cave is so gloomy, the rock is slick and i use a shoes that hmm you know.. so i must walked slowly. The tour guide is a child, an elementery student year 3^rd. Here, we can see a beautiful water inside the cave. Its located in the bottom. Just my brother going down, i just took a picture.

Kolbano beach, very very beautiful. The wave is big and i suggest u guys dont close to the sea water. The unique think about this beach is the sand that spread around the beach i mean not sand, but a rocks, colourful rocks. There are a lot of child here, they ask us if we want a beautiful rock, and they can find for us and we give money to them. The rock is an icon here. 

Oh ya, i also went to the border of Indonesia and Timor Leste, here is the picture!

Tipss..

Guys, i have a little bit tips if you went to East Nusa Tenggara, here it is!

• if you guys didnt eat much, just order 1 plate for 2 person, because the portion is big i dont know why, maybe the local people really love to eat!
• Lot of Padang restaurant there! Its mean, many halal food there so dont be afraid for muslim if went there!
• In Banjawa and Ende (Kelimutu lake) you guys should bring thick clothes cuz so cold there, and if you went to Kupang, Laboan Bajo you can bring your sexy clothes.

Unique in NTT

• The people are really nice, they like to smile to everyone
• This is my analysis yaa, if they serve a food is too long, i dont know why. Maybe they made the food or drink one by one
• So many pig and dog everywhere
• The grave near every home, and the cross of the grave is big
• It feels like in west, cuz so many foreigner, especially in Laboan Bajo
• For the tourist attraction i think overall its good
• Every city in East Nusa Tenggara has airport so easier for us to traveled to another  the city

Not all places i can visited, cuz the time and cuz so many beauty place there so yeahhh, maybe this is the end of my journey in East Nusa Tenggara. Thanks a lof for reading it! Next, the journey will more fantastic! Nahh, see you!
